Flower of the Day

We were heading for Crack in the Ground1/, a two-mile-long, 70-foot-deep fissure in the earth located in the Oregon High Desert outside of Christmas Valley. Up ahead, we were annoyed when we spotted what looked like trash, but upon approaching the item, we realized it was a magnificent desert evening-primrose!
